Local roundup: Wesley field hockey team edges Arcadia 2-1 in 2 OTs

Kaila Hindt’s goal in the second overtime gave Wesley College a 2-1 victory over Arcadia in field hockey on Wednesday evening.

The Smyrna High grad made a long run up the right side, had her shot but then put in the rebound to lift the Wolverines 56 seconds into the second OT.

Madison Cook (Middletown) scored a third-quarter goal for Wesley (5-2).

College soccer

WOMEN, Wesley 8, Washington Adventist 1: Mackenzie Forsythe netted five goals and an assist as the Wolverines rolled to the victory.

Emily Caldarelli, Lindsey Lurz and Kaitlyn Roazzi also scored goals for Wesley (5-3), which led 4-0 at halftime. Goalie Emily Magness made five saves.

The Wolverines finished with advantages of 18-8 in shots and 4-2 in corner kicks.

College volleyball

Wesley 3, Hood 1: The Wolverines improved to 7-8 with 25-14, 12-25, 25-20, 25-21 victory.

Lindsay Burg posted 21 aces in the match for Wesley with Regan Healey adding 11 kills.

Boys’ soccer

Delmarva Christian 3, Salisbury School, Md. 1: The Royals picked up a victory to improve to 3-4.
