M.O.T rallies for District I Major League title

SMYRNA – M.O.T. rallied for five runs in the sixth inning to edge Camden-Wyoming, 11-10, and win the District I title in Major League baseball on Saturday night.

The Middletown-area all-stars beat Camden-Wyoming twice in two days to come out of the losers’ bracket and capture the championship. The three-team state tournament, which also includes Milton and Newark American, starts on Wednesday night at Smyrna-Clayton.

M.O.T. has now won 13 of the last 14 District I crowns in the 11-12 year-old age group.
