There’s a lot riding on Smyrna High’s big homecoming showdown with Dover tonight.

Both teams are fighting for an at-large berth in the DIAA Division I state tournament.

At this point, Smyrna’s tourney hopes probably need a victory more than the Senators do.

Sussex Tech (0-2, 2-4) at Caesar Rodney (2-1, 4-2)
In their bid to take back to the state tourney, Riders can’t afford to overlook any team.

Sussex Central (3-0, 5-1) at Polytech (0-2, 1-5)
The red-hot Golden Knights are a tough team for Panthers to face on homecoming.

Milford (3-3) at Cape Henlopen (1-5)
Cape Henlopen can give its rough year a little boost with a victory for homecoming.

Woodbridge (3-0, 4-2) at Lake Forest (1-1, 3-3)
The Raiders are building momentum as they try to build up their state tourney resume.

Laurel (0-2, 3-3) at Indian River (1-2, 2-4)
The Bulldogs would love to pick up their first South win on IR’s homecoming night.

Delmar (2-0, 6-0) at Seaford (0-3, 1-5)
Just trying to score points on the unbeaten Wildcats is an imposing task right now.

Saturday’s games
Delaware State (0-3, 0-6) at South Carolina State (1-2, 1-5), 1:30 p.m.
DSU doesn’t looked to be overmatched in this one but winning on the road is difficult.

Wesley (4-1, 5-1) at Rowan (3-2, 4-2), 2 p.m.
The Profs aren’t great but are still a step up from much of Wesley’s NJAC competition.
