It’s week nine of the high school football season and again weather could be an issue with a few schools moving up the starting  time of their games to try to avoid the forecast storm.

Here’s our predictions for this weekend’s local high school and college football games:

Lake Forest (2-2, 4-4) at Laurel (0-4, 3-5), 5:30 p.m.
Spartans still have a chance at a winning record this season if they get a victory tonight.

Woodbridge (4-0, 6-2) at Indian River (2-3, 3-5), 5:30 p.m.
The Raiders don’t want to get caught looking ahead to next week’s matchup with Delmar.

Cape Henlopen (1-3, 1-7) at Dover (3-1, 7-1), 6 p.m.
The Senators are averaging 55.5 points per game in their current 4-game winning streak.

Caesar Rodney (2-2, 5-3) at Sussex Central (5-0, 7-1)
Only the Riders stand in the Golden Knights’ way of finishing unbeaten in the North.

Salesianum (6-2) at Smyrna (2-5)
The Eagles will look to salvage some pride by hurting the Sals’ state tourney position.

Delmar (4-0, 8-0) at Milford (3-1, 5-3)
Milford gets another chance at Delmar in a rematch of last year’s Division II state finals.

Red Lion Christian (2-6) at Seaford (1-6)
The Jays would love to end their four-game losing streak and pick up their second win.

Wesley (4-3, 5-3) at Salisbury (7-0, 8-0), noon
With things the way they are, handing Gulls their first loss would make Wesley’s season.

Savannah State (1-3, 2-5) at Delaware State (1-4, 1-7), 2 p.m.
After getting their first victory last week, DSU would love to make it two in a row.

The Hens are getting closer to a playoff berth but can’t afford to overlook Great Danes.
