Roundup: Hen women earn 71-59 win over Elon

Each and every active Blue Hen registered key statistics Friday evening as Delaware topped Elon, 71-59, at the Bob Carpenter Center.

The Blue Hens, who led wire-to-wire, were guided by Bailey Kargo’s 16 points, which included a game-high four 3-pointers made.

Alison Lewis collected her first career double-double with 10 points and a career-best 11 rebounds.

Samone DeFreese added 14 points and three rebounds while Rebecca Lawrence neared a double double of her own with 10 points and nine rebounds.

In total, each Delaware player logged at least two points while five had at least four rebounds on the night.

Delaware has won four of its last five contests and four-straight at home.

College baseball

DSU-Marist schedule changes: The schedule for Delaware State’s weekend series against Marist (N.Y.) in Dover has again been altered.

The Hornets and Red Foxes are now scheduled to play a single game today beginning at 2 p.m. and a doubleheader on Sunday starting at noon.
