Hens’ Daly honored again: Another Monday, another CAA Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week award for Delaware freshman guard Ryan Daly.

Daly earned his sixth award on Monday after averaging 22.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in Delaware’s two games last week.

Daly posted game-highs of 24 points and 12 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the year during Thursday’s 68-67 win vs. Drexel. His game-winning three-pointer with 12 seconds remaining made him the leading freshman scorer in school history.

He again led the Hens with 20 points vs. William & Mary on Saturday, his ninth 20-point effort of the season and his seventh consecutive double figure scoring game. Daly also ranked second on the squad with seven boards, becoming the leading freshman rebounder in UD history.

Daly has now led Delaware in scoring during 15 of the last 18 games, including each of the previous seven contests. He currently ranks fifth in the CAA with a 7.1 rebounding average, and is ninth in the league by averaging 15.4 points per game.

Wesley faces York in CAC: The sixth-seeded Wesley College men’s basketball team travels to third-seeded York today at 8 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament.

The winner of that game will face second-seed Salisbury on Thursday at 7 p.m.

The Wolverines (10-15) split with York (16-9) during the regular season, beating the Spartans, 63-58, on Dec. 14 before falling to them, 89-69, on Feb, 8. The road team won both times.

The Wolverines fared better on the road than at home during the regular season, winning seven of their 10 games away from Wentworth Gym.
