State baseball championship postponed until Monday

WILMINGTON — Sunday’s DIAA state championship baseball game between Cape Henlopen High and Caravel Academy was postponed due to rain.

The game will now be played Monday at 6 p.m. at Frawley Stadium in Wilmington.

Cape Henlopen is the tournament’s fourth seed with an 18-3 overall record. Caravel is seeded second and has a record of 17-2.

The DIAA boys’ lacrosse championship game is also Monday between top seed Salesianum (15-3) and second seed Caesar Rodney (15-2) at 7 p.m. hosted at Caravel Academy.
