DOVER – Wesley College’s football is back in the NCAA Division III playoffs.
After missing the 32-team tournament last year for the first time since 2004, the Wolverines (9-1) received an at-large berth in the NCAA’s on Sunday evening.
Wesley, which is ranked No. 12 nationally, will host Framingham State (8-2) next Saturday at noon. The winner will face the winner of the first-round matchup between Bridgewater (10-0) and Delaware Valley (9-1).
The Wolverines beat DelVal, 24-18, earlier this season in three overtimes.
Wesley last played Framingham State in 2015, winning the first-round playoff matchup, 42-22, before advancing to the quarterfinals.
The Wolverines have reached the NCAA semifinals six times, the last time coming in 2014.
